WIWW: 39 Weeks Pregnant

Today marks 39 weeks!  I really am in the final stages, especially since the doctors believe a c-section is in our best interest.  Technically these pictures are from 38.5 weeks.  My talented sister, Sarah, took these pictures for me while she was visiting.

As for the What I'm Wearing aspect of this post:
Jeans: Old Navy
Black Shirt: Motherhood Maternity
Hair Clip: Lilla Rose
Infinity Scarf: (Below) My Own Creation

WIWW: 37 Weeks Pregnant

Remember folks, this is my Baby Bump journey much more than a fashion show and tell.  (Even if I am using it as as my "What I Wore Wednesday" post!)

I am officially "early term" now!  I have to say, this has been a long pregnancy, but the end is in sight!  I still have a few things on my "before baby is born" to do list, but I'm basically ready.  Basically.

Doesn't it totally look like I'm hiding a baby under my shirt?

WIWW: 36 Weeks Pregnant

Here's another week of my Baby Bump!  I've been playing with the self-timer on the camera, but I never quite caught myself fully smiling.  Oh well.

I am feeling . . . very pregnant these days.  Even some of my maternity clothes don't seem to have enough to cover my ever expanding belly.  I can't wait to hold little Porcupine in my arms! I've been washing all of his little clothes and they are just too adorable!  (I even knit him a little sweater!)

I suppose I should be thinking about what I will be wearing postpartum.  Fellow mamas, what were your favorite items for shortly after the baby arrived?  With my daughter I had a rather rough recovery and just wore whatever didn't annoy me.  I'd like to be a little bit "cuter" this time around, but also don't want to spend much money.

7 Quick Takes: My Weekly Post of Randomness

1. I realized I didn't do a "What I Wore Wednesday" post this week -- which I'm trying to do as a Baby Bump record more than a fashion record.  (Because who would I be kidding. Me? Fashion?! Ha!)  So, here I am today at 35 weeks and a few days:

2. With the help of a friend, we picked up a new-to-us piece of furniture over the weekend.  I'm oddly excited about this.  Eventually, we are going to refinish it to be darker, but that will most likely be after Baby makes his debut.  I really love the size and the lines that it has!

3. If you have toddlers, please enter this giveaway for a Handmade Belt.

4. I love linking up my crafty projects at various blog "parties" around the web.  Right now there are a plethora of St. Patrick's Day crafts, which makes sense, given that his feast day is March 17th.  Many of these crafts involved green, clovers, and the like, but I was originally stumped by the amount of rainbow "St. Patrick" crafts.  Maybe it's the end of pregnancy brain fatigue, or maybe I am just slow on the uptake, but I think it might be because I was looking at St. Patrick's day from my "homeschooled Catholic" perspective (i.e., it's a feast day of a saint who was born in England, was brought to Ireland as a captive, who escaped, became a priest, returned to Ireland, taught the people about Christianity, and according to tradition, used a three leaf clover to help explain the Blessed Trinity) instead of looking at it from a more secular point of view (i.e., it's an Irish holiday, that means green, shamrocks, leprechauns, and pots of gold at the end of a rainbow).  What do you think?

5. I have a half finished rainbow pot holder blog post that I should finish . . . especially if rainbows are currently "in".

6. Actually, I have a lot of half finished blog posts that I should finish.  How many posts sitting in drafts do you tend to have at one time?

7. It's rainy here today, but it's warm.  It might be a good day to find some puddles.

***I'd like to make a quick plug for a friend of mine! She runs Catholic Deals, a blog which I highly recommend (especially if you're Catholic and would like to find Catholic items at a reasonable price),and her Facebook page is hovering just under a big milestone.  Could you help her reach 1,000 followers?  Here's the link!***

WIWW: 34 Weeks Pregnant

Remember folks, this isn't so much of a "fashion" post, as a "baby bump record".  Also, remember my selfies are terrible.  And for some reason they are even worse than usual today! Speaking of which, this is actually the best shot I got this morning.  (Why in the world is it so bad!?!?!)

I'm not going to bother trying to get a better picture right now, because the Olympics are on!  Check out Baby though!  He's totally popping out more these days!  I definitely feel like I've grown a bit in the past week.  I'll be completely honest, while I completely want him to stay in until full term, I am so ready for him to get out!

My hubby found my missing earrings!  These are some of my favorite every day earrings.  (I received them in exchange for a review a while ago.)  Aren't they pretty?

Here's something fashioned related for your toddlers!  Check out this giveaway for a child's belt that I'm hosting.  It's a great product and probably will have fairly low entries, so if you have little ones (or know someone who does) you should enter.

What I Wore Wednesday: 31 Weeks Pregnant

Follow on Bloglovin

Welcome to another week of What I Wore Wednesday! I decided that I don't really have a great sense of style but that I really like having Baby Bump pictures, therefore, I will participate in WIWW for at least of couple of weeks!  I don't really have many Baby Bump pictures from when I was pregnant with Catherine and that saddens me.  To my mommy readers, do you wish you have more (or less) Baby Bump pictures?

Please forgive the not-so-great-quality of my selfies.  I love this turquoise necklace!  I got it years ago from a roadside stand on a trip out west.

I'm wearing maternity (of course!) jeans from Old Navy.  This pair is super comfortable.  (Every time I wear them I miss my Maryland thrift stores!  They cost me a whopping $3.50.  I got so many great deals there!)  Although, why is seemingly impossible to make a pair of non-over-the-belly maternity pants where the elastic part doesn't eventually fold over?

These earrings were a birthday present from my wonderful husband a couple of years ago.

This shirt (the sweater and shirt are attached) is from Walmart.  I really like it, except that the inside shirt part simply isn't long enough.  I could have exchanged it for a larger size, but I don't think that would have helped too much and would have been quite a hassle.  Now, on the positive side, this probably means that I will be able to wear it when I'm not pregnant without looking like I am wearing maternity clothes!  Again, to my mommy readers, did/do you wear maternity clothes as "regular" clothes without anyone knowing?

7 Quick Takes

1. Here's a Baby Bump picture for you.  I'm terrible at taking self-portraits, even with a nice camera and a timer.  Catherine is eager to take pictures for me, I'm just scared to let her hold the good camera.  This is me at 29 weeks:

2. The above orange & charcoal shirt is one of my absolute favorite shirts right now.  It's soft.  It's stretchy.  It's long.  It's cute.  It's cheap.  (You can get it at Wal-Mart. Not an affiliate link.)

3. This ecard made me laugh out loud.  I don't really dislike the term "expecting" however, this card makes a very valid point.

4. On Wednesday I asked my readers how to wash secondhand yarn, and I got lots of practical solutions and advice!  (Here's that post.)  Thank you!

5. The Olympics are almost here!  The Olympics are almost here!  The Olympics are almost here! (Can you tell that I'm excited?)  What are your favorite winter sports?
6. Do you like to enter giveaways?  If you do be sure to check out this $25 Barnes & Nobles Giveaway, it's a flash giveaway that ends Sunday (1/12/14). This Boba 4G Baby Carrier Giveaway (ending 1/27/14) is also a great giveaway!

7. I am trying to be pretty good about my sugar intake this pregnancy.  I will admit during Christmastime I splurged a bit.  Things like these Cinnamon Roll Cheesecake Bars really tempt me though!  (Maybe they aren't so bad for me, since cinnamon naturally lowers the blood glucose levels . . . )  Yes, I shared these on Facebook yesterday, but I'm still thinking about them!
