Yarn Fanatic Party #34 (With a $5 Amazon GC Giveaway)

Welcome to another Yarn Fanatic Party!  I'm so glad that you're here!  This is a place to share your yarn-y projects, see what other has been creating, support one another, and enter a little giveaway.

There were so many beautiful projects linked up last week.  As you know, I have a love of bright colors, so this blanket by Lunamon Design simply makes me happy.

I also love these adorable Summer Sandals!  (This is a paid pattern, but it seems quite reasonably priced.)

Both Eye Love Knots and The Philosopher's Wife have been busy too!  Did you see Alexandra's new (free) washcloth pattern?  Or my latest Giraffe & Elephant?

Giveaway!
Don't forget that you can get lots of supplies from Amazon, including yarn.  (Also, if you use any of the Amazon links from my blog I get a small percentage of your purchase.  It doesn't cost you anything extra, but it helps me earn a few pennies.  I greatly appreciate it when you use these affiliate links.  Thanks so much!)
This week's giveaway is sponsored by The Philosopher's Wife: Giveaways Galore.  This is a blog where you will find all types of crafty giveaways.  There are lots of giveaway blogs out there, but this one is special, check it out for yourself!

Details and Important Information: Must be 18+ to enter. US only. Void where prohibited. Winners must respond to my email within 48 hours or a new winner will be chosen. Social media is not affiliated with this giveaway. The sponsor is responsible for prize fulfillment.  A quick note to my international friends: I know many of you are disappointed that these giveaways are limited to US only.  The problem is that there are hundreds of rules and laws regarding how giveaways are run.  It can be very easy to accidentally break the law when international policy comes into play.  I simply wish to keep everything as legal as possible, and for now at least that means limiting these giveaways to US entrants.  I do hope that you still participate in these Yarn Fanatic Parties and that someday there might be a giveaway that you can enter!

Link up your projects!
What have you created with yarn?  It could be something you crocheted, knitted, or anything that used yarn.  It can be a new project or an old one.  (I would appreciate it though if it had not been linked up to a previous Yarn Fanatic Party.)  I can't wait to see what you've created!

The only rule is that everything you link to must be family friendly.

I would appreciate it very much if you:
  • Add my Yarn Fanatic Party button to your post or party page.
  • The Philosopher's Wife
  • Follow The Philosopher's Wife and Eye Love Knots.
  • Check out some of the other yarn goodies people have finished.
  • Leave comments here, there, and everywhere.  (Please, take a moment to visit at least one other blog and leave a comment.  I want this to be a supportive community of yarn lovers.  To help encourage this a new entry option has been added to the giveaway.  I've been crazy busy lately, and not able to comment on everyone's links, but I will try to comment on everyone's this week!)
  • If you're not a blogger, but want to participate, feel free to upload a picture from Flicker!
  • By linking up you are giving me permission to share your photos, with the appropriate credit, of course!
  • NEW NOTE: Per InLinkz guidelines, listings linked to purchase options isn't permitted.  This means that you cannot link directly to Etsy listings or Ravelry pages where there is an option to buy the pattern. You may link to a Pin, or a Facebook page, or a Flickr page, etc.  Links to where to buy the pattern included in a blog post are permitted.

Yarn Fanatic Party #32

Welcome to the Yarn Fanatic Party!
This is a place to share your projects, see what others have made, support one another, and even enter a yarn giveaway.

I've been crocheting a bit of amigurumi lately (be on the lookout for a giraffe, an elephant, and a pod of whales this week!), so I immediately was drawn to this "Horsy" by Marmarel.

I also really love this adorable crochet bunting!  The colors just draw my eye in.  (The room that these are displayed in is really beautiful too -- and such a cool staircase!)  The link to the free pattern was broken for me, but I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to find it!

Did you see the Sweet Fantasy Granny Square Baby Blanket that EyeLoveKnots crocheted?  She includes the free pattern in her post.

It's a yarn Giveaway!
Have you heard of Tinted Tangles?  Krysta is the brains and talent behind this awesome little yarn shop.  Each skein is imbued with its beautiful color in her kitchen.  I think my favorite line in her entire bio is "I am just a girl trying to pursue a dream job".  I'm super excited that she is sponsoring a $25 shop credit giveaway!  I also will be reviewing a skein of her yarn, so be sure to be on the look out for that!

Yarn Fanatic Party #31 (Tinted Tangles $25 Shop Credit Giveaway Ends 4/19)

Welcome to the Yarn Fanatic Party!
A place to share your projects, see what others have made, support one another, and even enter a yarn giveaway.

Isn't the crocheted Cable Beret (above) adorable?  The Falling Blossoms Scarf (below) is a very nifty project.  It's beautiful, but it's especially unique because it requires both crochet and knitting skills.  How cool is that?  Both of these patterns are free, so make sure you add them to your to do list!

Check out Alexandra's post to see the most clicked links from last week!

Do you remember the Buttons & Things giveaway from a few weeks ago?  They have such fun pins/magnets.  They really are great.  Also, make an order before April 9th and use the code PHILWIFE15 to take a $1 off!

Yarn Fanatic Party #26

Welcome to the twenty-sixth Yarn Fanatic Party!

I'm a huge fan of crocheted animal hats, but I had never come across a Flamingo Hat Pattern before I saw this one at The Friendly Red Fox.  (Some of the animal hats that I've made include a Polar Bear, a Baby Bulldog, and a Frog.)

Today's giveaway is sponsored by my co-host, Alexandra of Eye Love Knots.  Did you know that she has an Etsy shop?  Check it out!  She has a wide variety of goodies, some of my favorites are these fun earrings, these pretty coasters, and this lovely dress.

She is generously giving away the following prize pack: one green mug, one skein of Lily Sugar n Cream in Yellow, an H8/5mm hook, a set of Tapestry Needles, a strip of buttons, and a box of Swiss Miss hot chocolate, along with the PDFs for the Slanted Shell Coasters and Slanted Shell Mug Cozy.

Details and Important Information: Must be 18+ to enter.  US only.  Void where prohibited.  Winner must respond to my email within 48 hours or a new winner will be chosen.  Social media is not affiliated with this giveaway.  Eye Love Knots is responsible for prize shipment and fulfillment.

Yarn Fanatic Party #23

Welcome to the twenty-third Yarn Fanatic Party!

How have you been?  Poor little Dominic caught the cold bug that's been going around.  Even with the sniffles he's a pretty chill little dude.  He can walk now!  He's been taking a few steps here and a few steps there, but over the weekend he walked across the living room and dining room repeatedly.  He's an early walker, just like his sister, at ten and a half months old.

In yarn news, I'm reviewing a beautiful skein from Expression Fiber Arts.  I have a hat on the needles for myself.  I did tell Catherine that she could share it with me sometimes, because she loves the yarn almost as much as I do!  (Below you can enter to win a skein for yourself!)

There were lots of great projects linked up last week!  One that especially caught my eye was Ionyka's First Baby Blanket.  I suppose I'm a sucker for a bright granny square.

Also, for a great v-stitch scarf, be sure to check out this post by my co-host, Alexandra.

Ready for a giveaway?  I'm super excited about this one!  (To be honest, I get pretty excited for all of the giveaways I host.)  Today's sponsor is Expression Fiber Arts.

The prize is a skein of Celestial 'Resilient' Superwash Merino Sock Yarn.

Details and Important Information: Must be 18+ to enter.  US only.  Void where prohibited.  Winner must respond to my email within 48 hours or a new winner will be chosen.  Social media is not affiliated with this giveaway.  Expression Fiber Arts is responsible for prize shipment and fulfillment.  Contact The Philosopher's Wife with any questions.

Yarn Fanatic Party 21 (Happily Hooked Crochet Magazine Giveaway)

Welcome to the twenty-first Yarn Fanatic Party!

This week's giveaway is sponsored by Happily Hooked Magazine.  I'd like to share a little about this sponsor before getting to the weekly yarn-y link up.  Don't worry though, the linky is at the bottom of the page and I can't wait to see what you have to share this week!

I can't tell you how much I have enjoyed paging through my Happily Hooked Magazine.  There are so many great patterns and designer stories!  I love how inspiring it can be to see other crocheter's creations.  It gets my own creative juices flowing.  I really enjoyed the interview with crocheter Twinkie Chan.  You simply have to check out her amigurumi, she is quite talented.  (Yes, those "pretzels" that she is holding are crocheted.)

The magazine is quite a deal.  For example, my favorite pattern from this issue is the SnuggleMe Pterodactyl.  The entire pattern is included in issue #10 (January 2015), starting on page 58.  This pattern is also available on Ravelry for about four bucks.  This is only my first issue but I am sure that there will be many patterns that I will be adding to my to do list!

I am hooked on this magazine.  (Get it?  "Hooked"?)  I currently view this magazine on my laptop.  While it works just fine this way, I could certainly see how it would be an easier read on a tablet.  They have an iPad app, but I don't have an iPad.  If I get the chance later I will try it out on my daughter's Kindle.  (And I'll let you know what I think!)

Have you seen this magazine before?  Did you like it?

Happily Hooked is giving one lucky reader a one year subscription to this awesome crochet magazine!

Details and Important Information: This is not a physical magazine -- it is a web based magazine that can be viewed on a web capable device. You must be 18+ and a US resident to enter. Void where prohibited. Winner will have 48 hours to respond to my email or a new winner will be drawn.  The Philosopher's Wife and Eye Love Knots are not responsible for prize fulfillment.

Did you see the awesome sunburst tutorial shared by Little Crochet last week?  She has great pictures and instructions.  I want to make a blanket out of lots of these little squares!  I've been planning on making granny square afghan soon, I might have just found my pattern.

Time to party!

Yarn Fanatic Party #19

Welcome to the nineteenth Yarn Fanatic Party!

It's a dreary day in my little corner of the world.  That means a that it's a perfect day to play with my yarn.  I currently am working with Red Heart's Medley Yarn.  I'll be showing you more of that later.
It simply is too dreary of a day, my photos of this yarn simply didn't do it justice.
So this is a stock photo from Red Heart.
There were so many beautiful projects linked up last week!  I'd like to give a special shout out to Laura at Sew. Knit. Grow. for the amazing coat she knitted for her daughter.  I've added the pattern to my Ravelry favorites, and whenever I get around to making it, I hope mine turns out half as nice.

The Yarn Fanatic Party co-host, Alexandra of Eye Love Knots, has been busy.  Did you see her free crochet pattern for a Slanted Shell Mug Cozy?

This week's giveaway is sponsored by Frayed Knot.  THREE lucky readers will win a pattern of their choice! I've been in awe of Jonna's patterns since I started following crochet blogs.  I've made quite a few of her "Easiest Headwrap Ever" and just finished "The Perfect Cowl".  The "Easiest Headwrap Ever" is one of her free patters, so hurry over and make one right now!  I also have her "Glamour Gloves" pattern and plan on making a pair soon.  (Is it just me, or are there so many projects and too little time?)

You must be 18+ and a US resident to enter. Void where prohibited. Winner will have 48 hours to respond to my email or a new winner will be drawn.

Speaking of giveaways, make sure that you check you emails.  I emailed the winner of the $5 Amazon giveaway this morning.  She has 48 hours to respond.

Time to party!
What have you created with yarn?  It could be something you crocheted, knitted, or anything that used yarn.  It can be a new project or an old one.  (You just can't have linked it up here before.)  I can't wait to see what you've created!

Yarn Fanatic Party #16

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  Now it's time to start preparing for Christmas!  I just have to share this Crochet Christmas Light Pattern with you because it's just too cute.  It's free and looks easy enough.  (And would be a great way to use up those random little bits of leftover yarn.)

Did you see this Infinity Scarf from Undeniable Glitter?  I just love the bright coral color!  She includes the free pattern in her post.  I think I'm going to be making one of these soon.

Time to party!

What have you created with yarn?  I can't wait to see!
