Best Little Yarn Shops Gift Guide

This post may contain affiliate links. This is a sponsored post.

Yarn.  It's the literal string of life for many knitters and crocheters.  Those who don't knit or crochet might never be able to understand our obsession with it.  But those of us who get it are always on the lookout for the next amazing skien.  And sometimes those who love us want to contribute, but don't know how.  This Yarn Gift Guide is for both the yarn lover and those who love a yarn lover.

These are some of the Best Little Yarn Shops that I've stumbled upon.  I've personally used yarns from these shops and absolutely loved them.  I will list the shops in alphabetical order.  Please click through to my free patterns and reviews to read more about the yarns.  Each project includes detailed information about the yarn as well as my personal opinions about the yarn.

I've also tried to include any special sales or coupons that the shops are having during this holiday season, especially for Black Friday and Cyber Monday!  (I will do my best to remove expired coupons and sales as well as update with any other pre-Christmas sales!)

Is this an exhaustive list of the Best Little Yarn Shops out there? Of course not!  These are simply the best ones that I personally can recommend based upon my experiences with them.  I have recieved yarn from each of the above shops at one time or another, but I always strive for honesty in all things so my reviews include my honest opinions.

Shops of Notable Mention

Please, keep in mind that I've not personally worked with the yarn from these shops of notable mention.  Some of these shops have sponsored giveaways in the past and the owners were a pleasure to work with; or I trust people who have worked with these shops' yarn and they have loved the yarn.  Great business transactions inspire confidence as do recommendations from friends.

Buttons & Things Review

This is a sponsored post.

How do you proclaim your craftiness to the world?  (Besides being able to say, "Oh, I made it" when people ask you where you got that cute scarf, or skirt, or dress, or earrings, or whatever it is.)  Buttons & Things has you covered.

This Etsy shop, run by Pepper, has some of the cutest craft themed pins and magnets that I've seen.  (She also has some great stitch markers.)  I was so happy that she sent me the "Even More Knitting Buttons" and a few other pins.  As soon as I took them out of the packaging I loved them.  They are too awesome, how could I not?

The magnets are nice and strong.  Which is perfect for my family, because my daughter also has the creative gene and the refrigerator is often covered in artwork!  I tried taking pictures of the magnets on my fridge in various forms of light, and at various times of day, but I simply couldn't get the magic formula quite right.  Despite the poor photo quality I think that you can see why this pirate magnet is one of my favorites.  It makes me giggle a little to myself each time I look at it!

The below four are pins.  I've loved this style of button pins since I first came across the American Girl Grin Pins.  (Anyone else remember those?  I'm dating myself here.  If you don't know what I'm talking about just search for them on Ebay.  I even found some on Amazon.)  Once Dominic is a little bit older, right now he needs pretty constant attention, I am going to make a project bag for while I'm out.  (I'm thinking something like the red purse I made with this pattern.)  I will proudly display these pins on the bag.  I can't wait!

These buttons would make a great gift for the crafter that you know.  Be sure to connect with Buttons & Things so that you can keep updated about shop news!  Go say "Hi!" on Facebook.

I'm also very excited to tell you that Pepper has given my readers their very own coupon code!  Make an order before April 9th and use the code PHILWIFE15 to take a $1 off!

So, tell me, which button is your favorite?
