  6. Interesting the history of using women to advertise 'things'. As art, the pieces are lovely of course...

  9. Do you know anything about the top poster with the two women in the waves? I have an original and have tried to find info on it for years. This is the first time I've found it online...

    1. No, I don't. I wish I did! That's so cool that you have an original! I'd love to have one of those! I linked to where I had found it, but they didn't site their source, and Google images came up empty. Good luck in your search. If you do come across any info I'd love to hear about it!

  10. I have one also - printed on heavy posterboard. Has some UV light and edge water damage, but it's SO HUGE (60"x44") and SO beautiful! I have seen paper reprint posters done from the 50-60's era, but it is a rare find I think!

Mine was in a "store window" and there is a slight color variation that runs above the middle where the wood support held the glass pane. Before the Wal-Marts of the world, grocery, hardware, etc stores were homes converted in your local neighborhood, so this was indoors, facing out the window to advertise in 1900 - pretty cool!!! : )
