WIPS: Finished Projects and A New Sweater

Here are two projects that are (finally!) finished.  They both had been started over a year(!) ago.

Even though I have quite a few projects that are currently in progress I decided to start another one!  I cast on this sweater.  This will be my first knitting project for myself.  The pattern is for a size small, which I am not, but I'm hoping that using larger needles will make enough of a difference.  We'll see.

I love the color of this yarn!  It's called Teal Lake.  I've never worked with this type, or even this brand, of yarn before, but it looked so nice and felt so soft I thought I'd give it a try.  (And *cough* it was in my price range.)  How about you, have you worked with this yarn before?  What did you think of it?

  4. Nice sweater! You've chosen a lovely colour. I hope it goes well with the gauge. The pink thing (a shawl?) is lovely too. I love pink!

  5. I love the little bird. Too cute. Haven't worked with that yarn, but I understand choosing stuff because it's in the price range and feels nice.

  7. What a sweet sweater pattern! I haven't worked with that yarn but I have felt it in the store before and it is soft! Sometimes you just gotta pick yarn you can afford rather than have no yarn! Been there, done that!

  8. Good for you for finishing up some WIPs. I keep saying I'm going to focus on mine, but then cast on something new! The sweater pattern is just gorgeous, and will look great in that color.

  9. Love that sweater pattern, looking forward to seeing how yours turns out. Fingers crossed the larger needles result in the right size!
